Afternoon Tea at The Chesterfield Mayfair

So celebrate being together for three years we decided to book a couple of days off and head to London for Afternoon Tea - we did it last year and went to the fashionista Afternoon Tea at Berkeley and really enjoyed it so decided to do it again but this time we went to The Chesterfield for the Charlie & The Chocolate Factory tea.

When we arrived we were seated and then we were brought over a mini soda to kick start the tea.

Then out came the food...

On the top tier were the cakes! (my favourite part!) We had an oompa loompa cupcake, blueberry macaroon, fizzy lifting cheesecake, a golden egg, a bumble gum flavoured eclair and of course a wonka bar. The macaroon was definitely my fave.

We had two lots of scones - fruit and chocolate chip with clotted cream and jam. The chocolate ones were so amazing, if anybody knows where you can buy some please let me know!!!

Then for sandwiches we had ham and cheese with tomato chutney on onion bread, roast chicken and mustard mayo and nibbed almonds on white bread, smoked salmon with cream cheese on brown, egg mayo and watercress on basil bread and cucumber and cream cheese on white bread. The chicken one was definitely my favourite.

To drink we tried the 'chocolate tea' which was really nice considering I am not a tea lover at all. You could also get hot chocolate which I thought was great as it's my favourite and as I just said I'm not a tea drinker.

When we finished we got our leftovers boxed up, and was presented with the bill and some everlasting gobstoppers! We also got given some gold envelopes (below) which is a great take on the golden tickets and it could be a discount of some sort for your next visit. It's a great way to get people back.

The great thing about afternoon tea is that it's unlimited so you can eat and drink as much as you like, so although it  may seem expensive for what it is you can really get your moneys worth and it's such a great experience and the staff were so great. I would highly recommend coming to the Chesterfield for afternoon tea. They currently have a winter wonderland themed one on until Christmas so go along if you fancy it.

  1. That dress is amazing! I got it as well before it went into sales, and even though I haven't had a chance to wear it yet, I know it'll get a lot of wear come spring/summer, so no regrets! :)
