Layering

Jeans - Iris & Ink www.theoutnet.com
Boots - Acne Studios www.net-a-porter.com

Since I arrived home from L.A last week the temperature has dramatically dropped and as this parka is quite light I'm having to start layering up underneath. I got a new white shirt in the Topshop sale as it's a wardrobe basic and comes in really handy so I've styled it down underneath my bananas sweatshirt here. They're such a versatile piece as they can be worn alone tucked in or out with heels or underneath jumpers/sweaters and styled casually.

I'm starting to build up my core wardrobe of all my essentials and pay out more for certain things that get worn all of the time like my Acne boots that I got for Christmas. Black boots are such a staple so I wanted to get a pair that would last me a long time.

IRIS & INK

Gilet - ASOS
Tweed Top - IRIS & INK via TheOutnet.com
Jeans - ASOS
Brogues - Zara

This gorgeous top is by The Outnet's private label IRIS & INK. You may have seen me talking about this top already in my 'What I got for my birthday' post here but just incase you didn't here's some info. So as you can see from the label this tweed top is made from 'Linton Tweed'  which is the same tweed that Chanel use for their tweed pieces - how cool is that?! I think it's such a classic top that will never date and will be hanging around in your wardrobe for a very long time. You can style it up or down - I decided to style it down for a casual Sunday of going for lunch for my Grandmas 80th but it would also look great with leather pants and heels too.

IRIS & INK do such great luxury basics and wardrobe essentials along with some hero pieces.

If you haven't already you should go and check them out here.

P.s I'm loving the fact I can still wear gilets - such mild weather for November!

A Mini The Outnet Clearance Haul

Breton Top - Iris & Ink
Lingerie Set - Stella McCartney

For those of you who don't know TheOutnet.com is the sister brand to Net-A-Porter that is a designer outlet selling past season at great discount prices. They have their own label called Iris & Ink which is amazing BTW - they just launched their FW15 collection which is one of the exciting things I shot in New York on my second time there with work, so you should go check it out here (especially if you love luxury basics/wardrobe essentials)!!

So The Outnet always does a big clearance/summer sale where you can get designer things at amazing prices (even more so than usual!) This Stella McCartney lingerie set was only £18 and it's such a classic set. The Breton top was the same price - usually £45. You can't go wrong with a decent breton which is a wardrobe essential at that price.

I always tend to buy my lingerie from The Outnet or from Net-A-Porter in the sale, as I personally feel you can't beat well made lingerie, especially when it's something you wear everyday.

Happy Halloween!!

Jumper - Lazy Oaf
Jeans - Iris & Ink (www.theoutnet.com)
Boots - New Look Via ASOS
Bag - Marc by Marc Jacobs (www.my-wardrobe.com)

Happy Halloween!! I'm off work today so I thought I would add a bit of Halloween to my outfit whilst I spend my afternoon carving pumpkins.

Isn't this jumper just the cutest???  It's me down to a tee - it's pink, fluffy and has a cat on it - Lazy Oaf are one of my faves for sure. I got it for my birthday a few weeks back and thought today would be the perfect day to put it up on the blog.

I thought I would just go plain and simple with my black jeans and boots today with the added touch of my devil hair and black lips for Halloween but it also looks great with a midi skirt, skater shoes and a red lip as that's another way I have worn it.

Are you up to anything special for Halloween this weekend?

Shearling Coat

Coat - Mango
T-shirt - Zara
Jeans - Iris & Ink (www.theoutnet.com)
Boots - Zara
Bag - Marc by Marc Jacobs (www.my-wardrobe.com)

One of the trends seen at fashion week back in February was Shearling/Sheepskin and it's something I've always been quite a fan of. I got this during the 30% off weekend that Mango did a few weeks ago for £49 which I thought was a massive bargain. It's lined with faux leather so it's really thick and warm.

These boots I got for £12.99 reduced from £80 in the summer sale - one of my biggest bargains to date I think.

I can't wait until I can start wearing them a lot more. I do get excited by A/W fashion but I hate the cold so I can't win!

Faux Fur & Flat Shoe Lovin'

Leather jacket - River Island
T-Shirt - Zara
Jeans - Iris & Ink (www.theoutnet.com)
Shoes - Zara
Scarf - ASOS
Lipstick - Kate Moss Rimmel in shade 08 (ASOS)

Quite a basic/casual outfit from me today. I'm really not a fan of this weather as I find it's too warm to wear a full on coat but I feel like a bit of warmth is needed so that's where the scarf comes in. I am well and truly obsessed with faux fur this season, especially the scarves. This ASOS beauty (£30) was a must have, they have so many to choose from on there but this one did it for me. It's sooo soft and soooo warm it's going to be my best friend this winter.

On my feet are my new Zara beauties. I've had my eye on this Marni pair but at £630 (I know!) they were just way out of budget so I got these for £49.99 instead!! They're a great autumnal shoe and I will make sure I get lots of wear out of them before it becomes permanent boot weather.

Green & Gold

Parka - Boohoo// Jumper - Topshop// Jeans - Iris & Ink (www.theoutnet.com)// Boots - Schuh// Bag - Givenchy Antigona// Earrings - Marc by Marc Jacobs

Hi Guys!

I am officially back working at The Net-a-Porter group and doing seven day weeks as I'm still working my weekend job...I just love money/clothes far too much but sadly this leaves little time for blogging and although I am a pretty busy bee, I am going to try and make time if at all possible!

In love with my bargainous Toppers jumper which I got for £13 in the sale, worn with my Schuh boots which I can only really wear at weekends as I'm on my feet constantly at work so trainers are my new best friend.  I love the Boohoo parka - I feel like they've 100% upped there game!

I've had a pretty chilled weekend other than work, had my eyebrows and shellac done today all ready for work tomorrow then it's back to commuting to London and a new internship in a different department at NAP.

Wish me luck and I hope you've all had a lovely weekend.

Iris and Ink

Coat - ASOS (old)// Top - Iris & Ink (The Outnet)// Jeans - Iris & Ink (The Outnet)// Boots - Topshop// Socks - Topshop// Givenchy Antigona - Harrods// Ring - H&M

I've always wanted a real leather top as I think they look great but obviously they do come with a slightly depressing price tag. I nabbed this Iris & Ink one in a flash sale, I feel it is a wardrobe staple and worth every penny, as it will hang around in your wardrobe for years to come. A real investment piece. (Similar here)

I also feel with jeans, it is much more worthwhile to pay out for a more expensive pair than just buy a cheap pair and them fade after a few washes. You then end up having to buy more than one pair. Although these Iris & Ink jeans at £95 aren't exactly purse friendly they will hang around a lot longer than a High St pair and the fit and quality is fab. (Found here)

I personally think this outfit can be worn to/for anything - to a job interview, to the cinema, out for a drink, shopping...the list goes on.

I've definitely started to appreciate more expensive items and I would much rather put my money towards something that I really want and know is going to last.

How do you feel about investing in designer pieces? The Outnet is definitely a great place to start.
