The Last Day of Summer

I've been off work since Friday as it's my birthday tomorrow (eek!) I've had a long weekend of celebrations. On Friday we went to see Everest which I highly recommend and then we went to an amazing desert parlour called Creams. Saturday I spent the day at the hairdressers and then had my best friends party in the evening and yesterday we went to the zoo and to the Indian with my friends. The weather was so nice yesterday I got my summer clothing out for what is probably the last time this year. I think this is the first time my banana slides have appeared on the blog. I treated myself to them when I passed my probation at work earlier this year and I've worn them non stop all summer. Aren't they the cutest?!

Today I am off to my sisters in Hertfordshire and then we're going to see Florence & the Machine tonight which will be my 4th time seeing her and then for my actual birthday tomorrow my boyfriend has arranged a surprise in London - I can't wait!

I had a lovely day out at Howletts zoo in Canterbury on Sunday with my family - it was quite a cloudy day so I wanted to make sure I was covered up enough so I didn't get chilly when the sun went in.

This is where culottes come in, they're perfect for the in between weather that we pretty much have all summer long in the UK. I actually bought these last summer and completely forgot I had them until I had a wardrobe clear out a few weeks ago.

Paired with my favourite off the shoulder top from ASOS and my super comfy Marant sliders I was ready for a long day of walking around outside at the zoo.

This is a picture of myself and my gorgeous baby niece Matilda at the zoo

Happy Sunday!

The weather is so unpredictable so I'm trying to get the most out of my super summery clothes as soon as I see a bit of sun. With September fast approaching (yay my birthday month!) it will be back to layering - which I secretly do love.

I've been a bit quiet on the blog this week as I've just arrived back from New York with work - my second time in a month. Very exciting! So exhausted which is a mixture of jet lag and a super fun weekend.

Beach Day - Topshop | Zara | Matches | The Outnet

Top - Topshop sale// Shorts - Zara sale// Shoes - Topshop// Bag - Christopher Raeburn via Matches Fashion// Sunglasses - Linda Farrow x Matthew Williamson via The Outnet

How nice has the weather been this weekend? I fortunately booked the weekend off of work! I'm luckily enough to have the beach at the end of my road so I took a stroll down there today. I bought my top and shorts on Friday during my lunch break.. I really wanted this top and it was sold out online pretty soon after the sale started but I hit jackpot when I spotted a random one on the sale rail in my size. The dot to dot bunny is just tooooo cute. The shorts were also a sale purchase.

I've got lots more sale bits to show you so I will be doing a haul soon.

Have you got any bargains so far?

Dress - Topshop// Bag - Givenchy (Harrods)// Sandals - New Look via ASOS// Ring - River Island

I'm in desperate need of some new summer clothes/dresses but I don't like spending too much money on them as it's Winter again before we know it :(  I got this one from Toppers in the sale for £10 a couple of months ago. I can't wait for the sales to start again in a couple of weeks, I get such a buzz from nabbing a bargain haha.

90s Crop - Miss Selfridge | Topshop | Zara

90s crop top - Miss Selfridge
Mom Jeans - Topshop
Sliders - Zara
Sunnies -  RayBan

I'm in love with these 90s style crops from Miss Selfridge, they have got a so many different ones. The plain coloured crops are only £8 and the patterned ones including this one are £12 - which I think is really good.  Miss Selfridge have really upped their game recently, there's so many things I want from there at the minute and I haven't thought that for a while. I'm going to a Wireless and EDC this summer and Miss Selfridge is my go to place for my festival outfits which I'll be purchasing soon.

Are you a fan of these 90s style crops?

Breton & Tropical Print | Zara | Stella McCartney Adidas | THEOUTNET.com

Dress - Zara
Sunglasses - Matthew Williamson x Linda Farrow www.theoutnet.com
Trainers - Stella McCartney Adidas www.net-a-porter.com

Just a pretty simple outfit from me today. I absolutely love this dress from Zara, I've really gotten into stripes recently but it was the contrast sleeve that did it for me. Such a steal for £19.99 and so easy to chuck on.

I went for trainers instead of sandals as I liked the relaxed casual vibe it gave off together. I'm quite lucky I'm short as I'm not sure overly tall people will get away with wearing this as a dress as to be honest you probably wouldn't want to have it any shorter than this but it would still look great over jeans.

This was at the weekend when there was actually some sun, please come back :( I'm hoping the rain clears off for the weekend as I want to go to the zoo.

Hurry up Friday!

Marbella Style Diary Day 3 - Acne Studios | Zara

Dress - Acne Studios
Sliders - Zara
Sunglasses - Chanel

So, this was our last night in Marbella. We went to Infuschia for dinner night and they put us on the guestlist for Tibu for free as they are owned by the same people, so we went to the strip of bars first and then headed back to Tibu about 2am. We had the next day to sunbathe and then we headed home that night, it was such a great holiday and my sister had a brilliant time which was the main thing.

I purposely saved my Acne dress from the Net-A-Porter staff sale for our final night, it was the first time I'd even tried it on properly and it has to be my favourite dress ever *big statement* I just love the colour, the fit, the style and you can just tell it's good quality. I know I wore this for a night out with sliders but now I'm home I feel I could wear it like this for a nice day out and add heels to go out out. So I'll definitely be getting lots of wear out of it. I think the baby pink sliders look really cute with it and bring out the pinky tones in the dress too.

If you're ever looking at going abroad for a hen do, I would highly recommend Marbella if you want to steer clear from the grim places of Magaluf etc which my sister certainly wanted to do especially when it's the sort of trip where there are people of all ages. It's very classy and glam and so many places to go and things to do. As mentioned before I go there every year on a family holiday which I would also recommend so it was great for me to see the clubbing side of it.
