FOTD - Daily Make-up Must Haves

I haven't done very many beauty posts at all, but recently I've tried to do a broader range of topics on the blog.so I thought it was about time I did one for all you beauty lovers out there, so I roped my biggest sister Chloe in to share her daytime make-up look with you all.

Chloe has to wear make-up and be extremely well groomed for work.  She works for Virgin Holidays and they have to follow the same make-up rules and regulations given to the companies cabin crew i.e only red or pale pink lips and nails, and it was during her training at the Virgin Base where she was first introduced to the Bare Minerals range of products which she now loves and uses on a daily basis for both day and evening looks.  (Sorry in advance for the bad lighting in the post!)

Bare face before make-up is applied.

First she uses MAC 'Prep + Prime' and says that this creates a blank canvas for make-up. She applies this after moisturiser and allows to set for 5 minutes before applying the rest of her make-up applied to nose, under eyes and chin area.

Next up is the Bare Minerals foundation but used with the concealer brush to cover dark circles and blemishes.

Covering blemishes and dark circles as per above

Next up the full flawless Bare Mineral face brush with the same product (foundation in shade R170 which has SPF 20) to build up coverage. She works this into the skin with a circular motion.

Followed by The Bare Minerals bronzer in warmth. Tip some into the lid and use the Bare Minerals flawless face brush to apply to areas of face that would naturally catch the sun.

The bronzer is quite matte so Chloe uses Boots 17 Glow Shimmer Brick in 'Gold Bronze' and sweeps lightly over the face twice. She then sets the face with Bare Minerals 'mineral veil'.

Bobbi Brown shimmer blusher in Coral is applied to the apples of her cheeks. I was quite surprised by the colour of this as it looks so dark in the compact but is a lovely shade once on the skin.

Benefit 'High Beam' is then used on the browline and cheekbones. (shown below) She blends in by gently dabbing the product with her fingertips. This highlighter is the key product she can't live without!

Having completed the base and face make-up she moves on to her eyes using the very popular Naked palette by Urban Decay a real beauty bloggers favourite.

She uses 'Virgin' first and prefers using a sponge applicator. She puts this into the corner of the eye to open and all over the lid. (Shown below)

The next eye colour used is 'Side Car' she only applies this to the middle of the lid above the pupil. (Shown below)

The last eye colour is 'Dark Horse' - she applies this to the outer corners of lower lid then blends with finger tip.

Now it's time for the Lash Domination mascara by Bare Minerals.  My sister is a  massive fan of this Mascara and has put it on her Christmas list. I must say it seems to give great lash impact!

Chloe now finishes off her face with Benefit Powderflage which she dabs under the eye.

She uses clear mascara by Maybelline to groom and set the brows

Lastly she applies Benefit California Kissin' to her lips to complete her daytime look.

In my opinion this really is a lot of make-up but overall a natural and no make up look is achieved with the Bare Minerals products creating an even base.  As for me, leaving the house at 6.30am to catch the London bound train, I'm sticking with red lippie and a flick of eyeliner although I really do think my sister has her make-up down to a fine art so it will be interesting to see if she decides to do her own wedding make-up next year.

Do you go for a natural daytime look?
