The Gucci Loafer

Gucci Loafers - Net-A-Porter.com

If you saw my last wish list post I had these Gucci loafers on there...they are no longer on that wish list as I very naughtily purchased them.

They're something I've had my eye on for a while and they were completely out of stock and then one morning I went on Net-A-Porter and I had a wishlist notification - they'd come back in stock in my size, it was clearly fate ;) so I decided to take the plunge. How amazing are they though?! I'm usually a size 3/4 and I got these in a 36 (size 3) for reference.

They will never date and they are the comfiest loafers I've ever worn as the leather is super soft. The back also bends down so that you can wear them as mules in the summer - so basically you're paying for two shoes in one which is cool with me!

I know designer shoes aren't for everyone but I do like to splurge on designer accessories now and again and I'm super happy that these are now mine - it really was love at first sight.

New Job and First Day Outfit

Gilet - ASOS
Rollneck - Mango
Trousers - Gap
Shoes - Zara
Rucksack - Aspinal of London

I had some very exciting news last week... after having an interview last Thursday I got the good news that same evening that I had got the position of Fashion Assistant at TheOutnet.com - The Net-A-Porter Group after having interned there for six months last year and also having worked in the Net-A-Porter studio for six months and at publications such as Marie Claire, Vogue, Red and many other fashion mags I finally got my permanent dream position, part of the dream team and as an employee of the best company and to say I was/am over the moon is an understatement as I've worked so hard to get here. These are pictures of what I wore on my first day Monday this week. I got my trousers in Gap on black Friday as they had 50% off everything - so good!

I'm also off to LA tomorrow for a shoot so I am literally living the dream right now - so bare with me with the blog posts I am a very busy bee!!

Faux Fur

Rollneck - Mango
Fur Gilet - ASOS (old)
Jeans - Topshop
Skater Shoes - H&M
Rucksack - Aspinal of London

I'm so happy that it's Friday tomorrow as I have a nice weekend ahead filled with a cinema trip to see Interstellar, a Nandos visit, and a night out. I went for a pretty casual outfit for today, I've started wearing my gilets so I can get some wear out of them before the super cold weather starts and it will have to be a coat day everyday. I got my Mango roll neck in the last 30% off weekend for a bargainous £6.99!! I've really worked on building up my basics this autumn and Mango is the best place to go as they are cheap and good quality.

I'm still ever so in love with my rucksack, I don't think it will ever fade.

Do you have much planned for the weekend?

Faux Fur & Flat Shoe Lovin'

Leather jacket - River Island
T-Shirt - Zara
Jeans - Iris & Ink (www.theoutnet.com)
Shoes - Zara
Scarf - ASOS
Lipstick - Kate Moss Rimmel in shade 08 (ASOS)

Quite a basic/casual outfit from me today. I'm really not a fan of this weather as I find it's too warm to wear a full on coat but I feel like a bit of warmth is needed so that's where the scarf comes in. I am well and truly obsessed with faux fur this season, especially the scarves. This ASOS beauty (£30) was a must have, they have so many to choose from on there but this one did it for me. It's sooo soft and soooo warm it's going to be my best friend this winter.

On my feet are my new Zara beauties. I've had my eye on this Marni pair but at £630 (I know!) they were just way out of budget so I got these for £49.99 instead!! They're a great autumnal shoe and I will make sure I get lots of wear out of them before it becomes permanent boot weather.

Marbella Style Diary Day 1 - Zara | Pretty Little Thing

Dress - Zara
Bangle - Zara
Shoes - prettylittlething.com

So if you didn't know already from me mentioning on the blog, twitter or saw the pictures on instagram, I have spent the last 4 days in Marbella, Puerto Banus for my oldest sisters hen do. It was sooooo much fun and we are all very depressed to be home.

I thought I would share with you guys what I wore whilst I was out there...I know this dress has been all over the blogosphere so you are all probably bored of seeing it but I still love it a lot. I bought mine a few weeks back but was saving it for Marbs. I got it in Westfields on my lunch break - couldn't believe my eyes as I had been searching for ages. They only had two and they were both size M so I had to size up but I don't think it looks too big as it's that kind of fit anyway.

I go to Marbella every year with my family so it was really great to go back and experience the clubbing side. On the first night we ate at Hard Rock Cafe and myself and my other sister planned a bar crawl for afterwards where we ended up in Linekars, we all had a fab time!

Patent, PVC & Stripes | H&M | ASOS | Daisy Street | Zatchels

Top - H&M// Skirt - ASOS// Shoes - Daisy Street// Bag - Zatchels// Ring - Accessorize// Necklace - Wallis

I've been wearing these shoes to death...I get so many compliments every time I wear them, more so than any other shoes I've ever worn. They are so cute and such a good price (£14.99). They also come in coral and black if you don't fancy nude.

I love this PVC skirt although I haven't had much wear out of it as yet. I bought it at the end of Summer last year and I'm not one for wearing black tights with light coloured skirts so I put it on at the first sign of sun (shame about the rain now!). As it's a midi I don't feel too bad having my legs out when it isn't yet the height of Summer.

My trusty breton and little Zatchel finished off the outfit nicely.

I hope you've all had a lovely weekend!

Peter Pilotto For Target - Sky Bar Bangkok

If you follow me on instagram (claudiakitten) you will know that I've just got back from a fantastic holiday in Thailand as I was posting like crazy (sorry about that!).

I finally got to wear my Peter Pilotto pieces and saved my dress for our last night which we spent at the Sky Bar in Bangkok, which is where the Hangover 2 was filmed.
It's on the 64th floor so you can imagine the view across the city was AMAZING. It is really expensive for Thailand (worked out about £15 for one cocktail - which is about the same as prices as London). It was smart attire so my dress was perfect...

My yellow floral dress was £40 and the matching skater shoes were £30. There was a massive hype surrounding the range before the launch and working at Net-A-Porter, I got to preview the range before it went live so I already knew in my mind what I wanted to get.
In addition to these pieces, I also got the swimsuit and a pair of the sunnies for my holiday.

Wearing the swimsuit before my first ever scuba dive in Koh Tao.

Wearing the sunglasses whilst holding a baby monkey.

What do you thnik of the Peter Pilotto for Target range and did you manage to grab anything yourself?  My sister got the skirt, a top and black and white skater shoes and then my eldest sister got the skater shoes for just £10 at the NAP sample sale which took place whilst I was away. It was for friends and family only, it isn't ever open to the public, but lucky my mum picked me up a couple of pieces I will post another day.

Summer Shoes

1-4 - Topshop//5-9 -ASOS

I hope you've all had a lovely weekend! I've had the first weekend off of work since the last of my holidays in August and it's been so nice and relaxing, yesterday I got my photoshoot for uni done where we had to get a model and three outfits together that were a S/S trend and shoot them all. I will put some pictures up for you asap, it was super fun.

Apart from the atrocious whether in Kent today the weather has been much better recently where I no longer feel like I have to go outside wearing a winter coat, so I've been thinking about summer footwear.

I'm not one for wearing heels during the day time but with only being 5"2 I'm thinking that for this summer I'm going to invest in some of the shoes above maybe not 8 because they are a tad high for the day time but I love them nonetheless. The last pair (9) are actually Dr Martens and with the floral design and cut out I think they are so cute and perfect for sunny days. I'm also thinking that pair number 5 will look super cute teamed with frilly socks.

What do you think of heels for day time?

Flatforms

Top - Topshop// Jeans - ASOS// Ring - ASOS// Flatforms - ASOS// Nail Polish - OPI 'Do You Lilac It?'// Models Own Nail Art Pen - ASOS

I've possibly had one of the worst days today but I am so glad it's Friday!
This is what I wore today...
I got my top in the Topshop sale for £25 from £55 and they only had an 8 left so I told myself it was fate. I love velvet, pretty collars and crosses so this top was perfect.
My jeans are plum coated cigarette jeans which almost look like leather. I'd been after a pair of trousers like this for a while and I nabbed these in the sale for £16.
Last but not least are my new velvet flatforms, after seeing these on ASOS I couldn't believe that they were only £25 which I got student discount off as well and I love them, I know they aren't everybodys cup of tea but they're super comfortable. Sadly, I should have got a 3 as they slip a little bit when I walk I've been noticing this a lot recently so maybe I should just start buying a size 3.
After seeing lots of people having beautiful nails on their blogs it made me want to buy a nail art pen so I did. It was £6 from ASOS and as you can see above I attempted polka dots. (not very well none the less) Hopefully I will get a bit more artistic with it.

What do you think of flatforms?

Jeepers Creepers

Jumper - Therapy at House of Fraser// Leggings - eBay// Creepers - T.U.K (Sarenza)// Socks - ASOS//Skull Ring - Topshop// Other Ring - Disney Couture

In this outfit I am definitely rocking three of my favourite things - Creepers, Baroque print and black lipstick.
I have a really big thing about lipstick and I feel naked without it because to me it finishes off my outfit. I only usually wear black lipstick with something quite bright and very subtle make-up, and although this outfit is quite dark I feel that it goes quite nicely with it as my hairs lilac and I have the pink on my leggings and Creepers. I would never have thought I would ever wear black lipstick but I feel my style has changed and I know a lot of people wouldn't feel brave enough to wear it - if you are one of those people and you want to give it a try just go for it! I do tend to get a few looks when I wear it because I have lilac hair as well but it's not something that tends to bother me.
Next are my new babies - my creepers! I got them from Sarenza for £37.50 in the sale which was a complete bargain as creepers are at least £70. They only had a 4 or 5 left in stock so with me being a size 3/4 I was in luck! They are a tiny bit big for me so I have to do them up very tightly and I bought the black socks to wear with them as they feel them out a bit more and give them a girly edge while keeping my feet warmer. I have been after a pair of creepers for so long and these didn't disappoint - I know they have a grungy/gothy stereotype with them but I couldn't care and I love them none the less. Unfortunately for you guys they are no longer on the website.
Then there are the leggings which I got on eBay brand new for £6.99 (with delivery £1.99 on top - £8.98) . I bought them on Monday night and they arrived yesterday so they took less than 24 hours to come so I was very impressed with that. The print is so on trend and for that price you can't really go wrong. They also do them in blue, red and teal but with pink being my favourite colour I picked these ones. They do pretty much the same pair on Missguided for £10 excluding delivery so save your money and go to eBay as they'll definitely come quicker and they are cheaper including delivery.

What do you think about dark lipstick and are you also loving my new buys as much as I am?
