The Perfect Jumper Dress

Gilet - ASOS
Dress - ASOS
Bag- Marc Jacobs
Boots - Acne Studios www.net-a-porter.com

So the weather really has turned grim since the new year but it's still mild enough to not have to wear a coat which is a right result, luckily I'm on my way to L.A for work as you read this - I'm really looking forward to some sun! My new jumper dress is an ASOS sale special for £14. I really like the turtle neck style and how thick it is hence why I got away with just a gilet, dresses are my favourite as they're so easy to throw on with a pair of tights and you're all good, no thought needed.

How gorgeous are my new Acne boots? You probably saw them in my post here. I got them for Christmas from Luke, they're going to be worn non stop as they're such a staple.

Christmas Madness

Jumper - ASOS
Jeans - ASOS
Trainers - Adidas Stan Smith via Net-A-Porter.com
Bag - Marc Jacobs
Necklace - Monica Vinader

After the craziness of Christmas I am finally back to normal life (well kinda as not back to work until the 4th!) which means blog life resumes. I hope everybody had a lovely Christmas, I honestly haven't stopped eating or shopping for that matter. I finally got dressed today and braved Bluewater it was pretty crazy as I expected so opted for comfy clothes.

How amazing are my new Stans? I wear my white ones all the time and they are ridiculously comfortable so I obviously needed a black leopard print pair.

My gorgeous necklace I got from my dad and step mum for Christmas from Monica Vinader, it also has a pineapple engraved on the back as who doesn't want a pineapple on their necklace haha.

I'll be doing a post on everything that I got for Christmas and in the sales so watch out for those...

Anya Hindmarch Eat Your Heart Out

Jacket - Topshop
Dress - Zara
Boots - New Look Via ASOS
Bag - Marc by Marc Jacobs

Today I've pretty much done all of my Christmas shopping - we went to TK Maxx and managed to get most of our presents for people, they really do have something for everybody. I wanted to wear something comfy so obviously opted for my new dress.

This dress I love a little bit more than I should. I braved Zara on payday AKA black Friday and saw this dress. It reminded me of all the Anya Hindmarch bits which are way over priced so this dress at £25.99 was a lot more purse friendly. I love that it's a turtle neck style and a 3/4 sleeve - I'm probably going to spend my life in it from this day forward.

The Coolest Parka Ever

Parka - Topshop
Turtle Neck - Topshop
Jeans - GAP
Trainers - Stan Smith Via ASOS
Bag - Marc by Marc Jacobs

Quite a basic outfit post here, it's how I tend to dress for work/weekends a lot of the time when I'm feeling lazy haha. I am literally in love with this parka, I've never seen one with such bright faux fur - it just gives it that little something extra! I always get so many compliments when I wear it too. It was £70 though which is quite expensive considering it's very thin (I did get it at 20% off though as they gave me a code for my birthday) but it will never date and can be worn pretty much all year round. I'll definitely need to layer up with thick jumpers underneath once the cold weather hits but at least it looks fab!

First Time Wearing Tights Since Last Winter

Jacket - Topshop
Roll neck - Urban Outfitters
Skirt - Topshop Reclaim
Bag - Marc by Marc Jacobs
Boots - Zara

Winter is officially here because the tights have come out, I try and hold off wearing tights until as late as possible but the temperature has definitely dropped recently so you officially look silly rocking a bare leg.
This roll neck and skirt featured in my last post about what I've been buying in the sales (which you can see here). I'd had my eye on this skirt for a little while so when it went in to the sale obviously I was thrilled and bought it. It's from Topshop's reclaim collection which is made entirely from sustainable, surplus fabrics and production cut-offs and even the tag is made from recycled paper - how good is that?! Fashion that is helping the environment - I'm all for that!

The Bomber Jacket

Bomber Jacket - Topshop
Turtleneck - Topshop
Jeans - Pull & Bear Via ASOS
Stan Smiths - ASOS
Bag - Marc by Marc Jacobs
Earrings - ASOS

So I am currently obsessed with this bomber, I tried it on in Topshop and it was the cream faux fur lining that won me over. It's super soft and the warmest jacket I've ever owned and it can be worn with so many different outfits. You can't see the faux fur very clearly in the picture above so I've taken one from the Topshop website below.

For sizing reference mine is a size 8 which is my usual size. Sometimes I size up to a 10 in jackets/coats so they're a big roomier but I didn't feel like I needed to with this as it's so warm I won't need extra thick jumpers or anything underneath. It's going to be a big staple in my A/W wardrobe.

Topshop Dressed Up With Aquazzura

Sleeveless Gilet - Topshop
Cami - Topshop
 Jeans - ASOS
Heels - Aquazzura
Bag - Marc by Marc Jacobs

So these are two pieces that were in my Topshop haul post which I ended up wearing to a meal recently. I'm looking forward to wearing this sleeveless gilet more with roll necks for the colder weather.

My Aquazzura Belgravia's are a firm favourite in my shoe wardrobe - I love the fact they're quite a casual heel but easily dress up an outfit.

I can't believe that it's still so warm does the weather not know I have an amazing pink coat I'm dying to wear?!

The Last Day of Summer

Top - Topshop
Skirt - ASOS
Bag - Marc by Marc Jacobs
Shoes - Sophia Webster
Sunglasses - Miu Miu

I've been off work since Friday as it's my birthday tomorrow (eek!) I've had a long weekend of celebrations. On Friday we went to see Everest which I highly recommend and then we went to an amazing desert parlour called Creams. Saturday I spent the day at the hairdressers and then had my best friends party in the evening and yesterday we went to the zoo and to the Indian with my friends. The weather was so nice yesterday I got my summer clothing out for what is probably the last time this year. I think this is the first time my banana slides have appeared on the blog. I treated myself to them when I passed my probation at work earlier this year and I've worn them non stop all summer. Aren't they the cutest?!

Today I am off to my sisters in Hertfordshire and then we're going to see Florence & the Machine tonight which will be my 4th time seeing her and then for my actual birthday tomorrow my boyfriend has arranged a surprise in London - I can't wait!

The Flute Sleeve

Dress - Topshop
Heels - Isabel Marant
Bag - Marc by Marc Jacobs

The flute sleeve is big for A/W-  the bigger the sleeve the better. I wore this out to a meal last night so wanted to dress it up with heels but I will be wearing it dressed down most of the time with trainers or flats to work or just for shopping/cinema trips at the weekend. The sleeve definitely brings this plain dress to life as it's such a lovely detail. I'm also obsessed with this colour for A/W lots of rusty pieced have been making their way into my ever growing wardrobe.

Below are some other pieces from Topshop with the flute sleeve that I love:

What do you think of the flute sleeve for A/W?
